There are more people in the UK aged over 60 than under 18.
The number of people aged 6o or over is expected to pass the 20 million mark by 2030.
The proportion of people aged 65+ will be 23.5% in 2034.
Nearly one in five people currently in the UK will see their 100th birthday. *
